Spiritual transformation is sometimes painful and it requires a passionate commitment. However, the resulting beauty of the transformation process is priceless! Just consider the beauty of the butterfly after having been enclosed in its cocoon.
Just as the caterpillar seeks safety and refuge in its cocoon; I enjoy retreating to my prayer closet. I find that my heart longs to spend more quiet time with the Lord; seeking Him; reading His Word; listening to Him; experiencing Him, basking in His presence; being transformed into His image. Much like the caterpillar enters into its cocoon to begin the transformation process, I enter into my prayer closet. Just as the caterpillar exits the cocoon transformed into a beautiful butterfly, I exit my prayer closet transformed more into the likeness of Christ.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2
Thank you for loving me Lord. Thank you for changing me.
